My dad was in the US Navy and I was a Navy brat. We moved to Arizona when he got out and I grew up out there; the wonderful Southwest. Never thought I would leave it, but marriage does funny things. My husband was from Indiana and wanted to move back home, so in 1977 we moved to Indiana. Turned out that Indiana is a great place to raise kids. My girls went to Purdue and Colorado University. My son went to IU. One became a PhD engineer, one a nurse practitioner, and one an entrepreneur.
I already had my family before I decided to go to law school, and a business; so I started a little later in life than most folks. After law school, I spent five years as a Deputy Prosecutor heading up the child support division in Tippecanoe County. I then went into private practice and expanded my family law practice. Now 36 years later I still enjoy practicing family law. I have become a register mediator to try and help families try to work out their problems without going to court.
I have a husband and three children and my great joy of 6 grandchildren. My husband and I have been active with a breed of dog known as the Portuguese Water Dog. We have owned PWD’s since 1978, when there were very few in the world. We watched as the breed grew, became AKC registered and now the breed is thriving. In my spare time I read, play video games, and needlepoint.

Why should a potential client choose you to represent them?
I try to do my best to help my clients navigate the legal mine field of family law. Clients in family law are worried about their children, their finances, their jobs, and many more things, and are usually at one of the lowest points in their lives. I try to be empathetic to their needs and help them get to a solution that works for the entire family.
